In their own words — what training at Kutthaus has meant to our members.
I have been working with Sean Kuttner for the past two years. The past two years have been very challenging for me and the highlights of my week are working out in such a positive environment. He has helped me navigate a multitude of physiological changes such as prenatal conditions, postpartum recovery and surgical rehabilitation. Regardless of where you may be physically, the whole staff at Kutthaus Fitness will meet you where you are at and help you achieve your goals.
I recommend Kutthaus Fitness to all my friends and family as the place to go for a fun and challenging exercise environment, an outstanding physical therapy facility for injuries or chronic conditions, and nutrition counseling.
Kutthaus Fitness is the place to have a gym membership!
Kutthaus Fitness has made such a positive impact on my life and the lives of many in our community. When I started my fitness journey, I could barely hang from a bar. This was a problem because I had a desire to attend a Service Academy, and those physical tests are demanding, specifically the pull-up portion. The coaches were aware of my goals, took me under their wing, and helped me while I progressed. They pushed me when I felt I couldn’t, celebrated with me when I hit a new milestone, and I improved — a lot. When it came time to test, I felt confident and rocked it, achieving the max pull-up score for women.
From the programming, I have gained more strength, endurance, speed and mobility. I am more body aware which has given me more confidence. The nutritional services offered give me insight into how I individually need to fuel myself to see my goals achieved. Not only have I become a more well rounded athlete than when I began, but I’ve also entered a community of people dedicated to health and wellness. The class environment allows members to support and cheer each other on with some friendly competition thrown in there too. I have gained new friends through the gym, and I am so grateful for that aspect of my fitness journey.
My three younger siblings thoroughly enjoy the Youth Strength and Conditioning classes, reporting more confidence in themselves and their abilities. They have fun all the while building a foundation for injury prevention as they age and gain strength. It’s amazing to see how the coaches can work with anyone, regardless of age, skill, or ability as long as you are willing to put in the work. I love the environment of Kutthaus and recommend anyone who wants to start or continue their fitness journey to come try out a class. It won’t disappoint.
When I started, I couldn’t even do one push-up, could only run 50 meters before feeling dizzy, and had no clue when it came to lifting weights. Even though I am in my fifties, Kutthaus Fitness has taken my fitness, nutrition, and overall health to a whole new level. Having knowledgeable and fun coaches, as well as fun people to work out with, makes all the difference in the world and motivates me to consistently push myself to achieve new fitness goals. Everyday there is a carefully planned workout that is always different. I would highly recommend giving Kutthaus Fitness a try whether you are experienced when it comes to fitness or it’s your first time! It’s a top notch facility!
Going to Kutthaus is a highlight of my week. Not only do I feel myself genuinely getting stronger, but I feel surrounded by a beautiful community of people. I find myself laughing and really enjoying myself as I workout. The type of environment and community that Sean and Liz have built is one of a kind.
This is the place. Great programming, perfect class sizes. The workouts will humble you (in a good way), but the vibe is welcoming. Highly recommend if you like progress… and the occasional sore legs.
Kutthaus is the best! My husband and I have been members for over a year now, and it’s been a game-changer for us. The workouts are challenging enough to push you, but well balanced so you don’t injure yourself. Sean and Liz have built something really special. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the gym is always clean and well maintained. Kutthaus has been exactly what I needed to get back into a consistent fitness routine, and I’m so glad I found it. Highly recommend!
I have been going to Kutthaus Fitness for several years and love it. I am 63 years old and feel stronger than I ever thought I could be. I had a total knee replacement surgery in May and utilized the gym to do my rehab therapy during open hours getting ready for the second one I had in July. I can honestly say that I never would have had a recovery on the first knee and doing well on second if it hadn’t been for this gym. They always encourage you to do the exercises but in my case, if I could not do it due to my restrictions, Sean would give me a modification that would not only keep me safe, but give me a great workout. He has created an atmosphere of support among the members and it makes for a fun, effective and safe workout. The Thursday morning Pilates class is also amazing! If you are looking for a gym, come give it a try. I give it 5 stars gladly!
I love Kutthaus! As someone who has struggled with severe back pain, joining Kutthaus was the best decision I’ve made. The adaptations they are always ready to make allowed me to work my way to strengthening my whole core and almost eliminating my low back issues. I push myself pretty hard on my own but Kutthaus programs/classes push me so much more than I could ever push myself and in areas I was not comfortable with before joining. The community is so supportive and I love seeing everyone else’s progress as much as my own.
Sean and Liz run an incredible ship at Kutthaus. I used to think injury was part of high intensity workouts; but, after joining Sean and Liz’s gym, both of whom have backgrounds in physical therapy, you understand the difference of their workouts for the longevity of your body. I’ve also not been part of a gym that feels like a community vs. a competitive environment. It truly is a wonderful place with owners who are wonderful people. Highly recommend joining!
I recommend this gym to everyone! It has all of the equipment and programming you need to improve functional strength and top-end cardio. What sets it apart, however, is the sense of community and personal attention. This place is a home for everyone from those lifting 400+ pounds to those resuming their fitness journey in their 70s and 80s, and the owners do a great job of adjusting workouts to account for injuries or limitations. Plus they’re doing a bunch of great work in the greater Grand Junction community!
I have been a member since April 2019. If you are thinking about getting healthy and do not know how to begin, Kutthaus Fitness is the place to start. I lost 60lbs in 18 months and for the first time in my life, I can say I look forward to each and every workout! In the beginning, I was not capable of doing many of the exercises. At Kutthaus Fitness, the fitness coaches guided me through my workouts by modifying the exercises based off my limitations. Believe me, I had many limitations! As my strength has increased, the coaches continuously provide support during my workouts. In addition to having fabulous coaches, the Kutthaus members are fantastic and they become my workout family. Hands down, the best place to get healthy and be strong!
