About Kutthaus Fitness

We are a veteran-owned health and fitness club, designed by physical therapists, with the goal of providing quality and affordable functional movement training to improve an individual's health of mind, body, and overall well-being.

  • Sean — PTA, L-PTA, PCES, AIT, NASM-CPT, WLS, SFC
  • Liz — PT, DPT, NCS, CBIS, AIT, CNC, FDN 1 & 2

Sean and Liz opened the doors of Kutthaus Fitness to give this community a safe and effective place to work out, guided by professionals in the physical therapy field — and to positively impact local organizations through raising awareness and donating whatever is needed.

They met in Hawaii while working at a rehabilitation hospital: Sean specialized in treating individuals following spinal cord injury; Liz worked with individuals recovering from strokes and traumatic brain injuries. Before that serendipitous island meeting, Sean earned his second-degree black belt in Taekwondo, served in the Army, became a Physical Therapist Assistant, and found his love for functional movement. Liz earned her doctorate in physical therapy with certifications in brain injury care, neurological conditions, and nutrition coaching.

Here in Grand Junction, they're enjoying every minute at Kutthaus — meeting new people and challenging their bodies with the crazy workouts (especially Saturday!). Outside the gym, they love time with their two dogs, Steak and Potato.

Is Kutthaus Right For You?

Kutthaus isn't a traditional gym. We're not trying to train the greatest athlete in the world. We're trying to build better versions of ourselves — people who move well, think clearly, handle life's stress, and show up stronger for their families, their work, and their community. Our goal is simple:train to thrive, then help others do the same.

Ask yourself:

  • Are you willing to show up even when motivation is low?
  • Are you open to being coached and learning something new?
  • Do you respect shared space, equipment, and community rules?
  • Are you comfortable training alongside people of all backgrounds and experience levels?
  • Are you here for long-term health and performance — not shortcuts or quick fixes?
  • Are you willing to take responsibility for your own growth, inside and outside the gym?
  • Do you want to be the kind of person others can look to and say, “If they can do it, maybe I can too”?

If you answered “yes” to all of these, you'll fit right in. If you answered “no” to any of them, we may not be the right fit — and that's okay. We've intentionally built a focused, low-ego, supportive environment for people who want to improve their lives and contribute something positive to the world around them.
